Helmet like this Deep Visored Sallet Helmet were rather protective, while also lacking the drawbacks of many earlier great helmets. A typical sallet was a close-fitting helm that offered all the protection of a typical great helmet. Staying true to its name, this sallet features a slightly deeper visor, as well as a subtle German style, possessing a rounded top with a rotating visor that features smooth, curved edges. The top of the helm features a short crest, which is placed less for decoration and more for additional strength and support. It is Made of 18ga Steel.The visor rotates, allowing a warrior to reveal his (or her) face when not in battle. Where the visor is secured there is a single decorative knob, as well as a few additional rivets, which provide an equal level of decoration and defense.
